Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a medium size mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Use a pastry cutter to cut into the butter to mix the ingredients create a crumble-like texture.
Cut the apples, into four half-inch sections by placing the apples on their side and cutting across the width of the apple. You should have 8 slices between the two large apples.
Place the apples on the baking sheet. Sprinkle each apple with a little cinnamon and drizzle lightly with maple syrup.
Put about 3 tablespoons of the crumble on each apple.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Remove the pan from the oven and allow the apples to cool slightly before serving.
